Scott Mockry's site (www.sjmautotechnik.com) has an
excellent write-up on this. Mine turned out to be
that the fusible link was corroded through. Replaced
it with a generic 50 amp fuse from the local auto parts
store. The cheapest fix I've made to my Audi.
