Fuel line dilemma

I've removed the rotten main fuel lines in my 84 UrQ, and now I am wondering
about my best course of action to replace them. I talked to a local dealer
about the lines, and he quoted me a crazy $361 for the four pieces he said I
needed. He told me that the line that runs from the accumulator to the
filter had been updated to a two piece one...?

In addition to the stock line being expensive, I also fear that I wont be
able to route it successfully since I dont have the car very high off the
ground, and the best I could do would be two feet or so. So I've been
looking around at alternatives. Aeroquip looks like it would cost about the
same amount of money if not a little more, but the routing issues would be
easily solved. There are also other less name-branded types of hoses that
were similar, but less expensive. One mechanic friend suggested getting the
plastic fuel line (ala VW) that he can get in lengths, with the press in
fittings and make up a replacement with that. Heat is a major concern
however, since the lines run in some less than friendly places. In addition,
I have another friend that's trying to convince me to get some aluminum
air-conditioning line from a local supplier and use compression fittings to
make the necessary connections. He says this stuff is easier to bend and is
suitable for the job.

Anyone have some suggestions for me?

Here are the PN's that I was told that I needed to replace the parts I took
off, as I am Family Album-less currently I cant look them up personally.

857-201-547 Return Line $91.xx
857-201-545 Main Feed $87.xx
857-201-218 Accum-? $37.xx
857-201-218d ?-Fuel Filter $146.xx

If someone would be kind enough to plug these into the FA and see if they
are even right about the 4piece line thing I'd be thankful!
