Brake question on A4 & Mt Tremblant track report

Well, just got done running with the BMWCCA at Mt
Tremblant this past weekend. I'd been to the track
twice in the past and the new track is really nice.
It's significantly wider in many spots and there's way
more run off room. We couldn't use it at all because
it was really soft, but it is there. The track
surface is immaculate!

It's a very brake intensive track tho, so I came
prepared. (or so I thought!) I have the A8 brakes
with ferodo DS2000 pads, flushed the brake fluid
completely last week. The brakes were fantastic for
most of saturday, although they did fade a little.
Sunday morning 1st session they totally faded away. I
bled the system then drove into town, they still
didn't feel good so I completely flushed the system.
Still the same, soft pedal and no bite.

So I parked the car for the day (grrr!) and let them
sit overnight. On the drive back down to Boston they
still felt crappy in the morning and stank to high
heaven for several hours. Then progressively they got
better. They're now 100%.

What the hell?! What'd I do? Glaze the pads and they
just burnt off the coating on the drive back down?

If that's the case I clearly exceeded the temp limits
of these pads, even tho they're supposed to be decent.
What track pads does everyone use?
