Water Pump Leaking?

I assume coolant drops collecting on the bolt ends for the alternator 
bracketry on the front of the wife's 4kq beater (she just loves that car 
for fishing & camping) indicate a leaking water pump is lurking behind the 
TB cover???????  The car had a TB replacement maybe 30Kmiles ago, and I 
understood a new pump was installed then too, but who knows(?).   I can't 
see where else the coolant might be coming from that would put it up front 
like that.   Any other possibilities? If it is the water pump leaking,  how 
long before some disaster strikes?
