Thanks Javad. I'm  considering using a custom wheel with a 20mm offset in
front and a standard (i.e., cheap)  wheel with a 40mm offset in rear, which
would widen the front track  by 40mm.  So, the narrower rear track vs. front
track actually helps turn-in? Reducing understeer is a good thing,
particularly with the center diff locked.  
 
(test fitting a 225/45-17 Hoosier, it looks to be about 3/4" wider than a
225/40-16 street Pirelli - consequently the tie rod clearance problem, plus
1.5" taller -  yeah, taller gearing!)
