The S4 twin turbo is SAD

I totally disagree with your assesment, all wheel drive cars are very hard to
launch for quarter mile runs, wheel spin gives a lot of room for error on the
launch, with a quattro, a few hundred RPM too low and the car bogs, too high
and the clutch is melting, this all within a few hundred RPM.

The S4 quattro, or any other Audi quattro for that matter, was not designed
for 1/4 mile runs (the factory time is low 14's I believe), put it on an open
track, and it would continually lap those Jettas at an amazing pace.

If you want to see where the S4 shines, you were looking to the wrong venue,
go to your local road course to see them embarass Amurican' V8 cars who are
out of their element...

brand new S4s running high 15s in the 1/4. The fastest I saw was 14.9 when
the guy finally reved the car up and launched it. I dont know if these guys
do not know how to drive a quattro or shift. It looks like to me they didnt
know how to launch well. (which is not to difficult in the case there is no
wheel spin) All I know is that I was not to impressed with the 41 thousand
dollar A4. Jetta's on the other hand were kicking butt!!
