I knew it was time to get rid of my '75 Rabbit when I put it on a lift,
started the lift up, and the body didn't move.
Well, the outside shell didn't move...
...after 10 or 15 seconds we looked inside and noticed that the floorboards
were about to pass the dash.
Yes, they ripped right out.
And this was in 1980. That Rabbit was five years old! I went back to buying
old cars...replaced the Rabbit with a '72 Volvo 1800E and a '74 Volvo 145
wagon (winter car, pizza delivery system).
