what motor says 5v/ or v5 on it

looking around a scrapyard and found a newish a4, the motor was marked up
v5, it appeared to be a four pot, so i guessed it was a 20v 4 pot, would
this assumption be right? its not the vw vr5 motor is it? what capacity is
it, 2l?  also the mounts appeared to be the same as those in my cgt, also
the gearbox looked right, would a late engine go into a 17 year old car???
and if so, who wants to send me a rs4 motor to experiment with???? lol
