the "rs2 blue" colour is called "rs blue pearl effect" (m8). it is not the
same as any colour offered by audi on the s4 (nogaro blue etc..). ditto the
s4's "santorin blue pearl effect" (5j).
those with an rs2 brochure should note that the stunning colour blue shown
in the brochure is not "rs blue pearl effect" which is a strange colour,
noticeably lighter, and imo, an acquired taste (there is 1 rs blue pearl
effect rs2 around town). the blue in the brochure is most likely "brilliant
blue with clear varnish" (e8) or "indigo pearl effect (c2)- although either
doesn't look particularly close to the colour chart. i personally have not
seen an rs2 with the blue of the brochure.

I could not find any traces of the Nogaro blue in the Euro FA, but I know
100%
for sure that the '97 S6+ had the Nogaro blue as the most significant color
option. Now, when I open the V-pages for the 97 S6+, I find no Nogaro Blue,
only
RS Blue. This has got to be the same color.
The A4 and S4 never had the Nogaro, only the Santorin blue. There is a third
color that can be the one you talk about, Taka. In the US FA I find the
"Blue
Pearl Effect Paint", LZ5T, for the 96-97 A4/S4 and the Santorin Blue for the
98-00 A4/S4.
