The Mic3 is sold by a strange organization called Perfect Power, they are
located in South Africa. Their web page is found at www.perfectpower.com.
The only guy I know that actually ordered anything from them got his turbo
fueller without any problems.
Download the software from their site and compare it with the software for
the other systems. Remember that some things are not what they seem.
For example the Autronic has a lot of menus, but it is still simple to use.
Here you place the load sites where you want them, you add load sites where
you need them. This is a Volymetric Efficiency based system (VE), almost all
OEM systems work this way. The big advantage is that once the VE table is
finished you can quickly change the air/fuel ratio to check if the engine
want a leaner or richer mixture. For example changing injectors requires
only the injector size to be changed. It is even more impressive is that if
you switch to a 2.5l shortblock the system will be back in tune after you
have let it know the new displacement!
The Haltech is very simple to use, but there are 500+ load sites to work
with. I find that very time consuming. This system is tuned by setting the
injector pulse width on each load site, I would say that trial and error is
used for all tuning on the haltech. There is also several compensation
tables.
The MIC3 is a bit different, it has a few curves that has to be matched to
the engine. It requires some thought but there is a lot less data to input
when compared to the haltech. This is probably the hardest system to tune of
the three systems mentioned, but it is probably the one that is up and
running in the shortest time. Tuning it to perform equal or better then the
CIS is probably done in an hour or two.
