The boost pressure on all stock syclones fall to 0.5bar when the speed is
above 180kmh, with this limiter removed the truck will manage around 250kmh
without any other mods. In the current tune this truck accelerate strong to
270kmh, that is with stock ratios.
I know that the a4 is very hard to launch, after the a4 had made a few bad
starts Robert waited until the a4 had picked up its pace. Then he launched.
I would say that it takes the launch part out of the picture, the automatic
transmission is of course a big advantage but is it enough to make up for
130hp, lighter car, and a 60ft head start?
This was of course a 1/8mile track, these competitions are run under some
kind of 'try dragracing' regulation. In Norway these competitions can only
run on 1/8mile tracks. In Sweden we can use 1/4mile tracks, but instead we
can not make a competition of it. It is against the rules to run an
elimination...
It would be more fun to watch these cars on the 1/4 mile.
