Still random squeals....

Barry;

These squeals can be caused by air being sucked in past the crank seals.
Pull the dipstick out a bit while you are hearing the squeal. This gives air
an easier route into the engine and will stop or change the pitch of a crank
seal leak. The seals get hard as they age and can start to leak a bit.
Had this problem on my '91 200q in winter. It stopped after I changed the
front crank seal along with the t-belt.
