Black inside of IM - 83 5kt

Gary - now you have me worried! I looked last night and the duct on the IM
for the cylinder closest to the windshield (# 5 ? counts from front to
back, correct ?) was actually very clean compared to the other four, since
the center of the tube inside bottome had no black, just the sides and top.
The black was dry like it might have been soot. The other four had more
of an oily feel and were very black looking. The big opening where the
throttle body connects was very dry and brown looking. On the assumption
of a bad PCV (positive crankcse ventilation ?) valve, why would the four
front tubes show more oil mist residue than the back tube? Tex.
