Replacement of bushings on the front of these cars is a straight-forward, although time-consuming process, assuming access to a hydraulic press and various press tools.

Regarding the question of Delrin or similar bushings:

I have experience with these installed on the front suspension of an '88 80Q, which has similar front pieces to your '93. In my opinion, they are a competition-only "upgrade". Sure, they do a great job of locating the front a-arm. But NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) went up. Low levels of NVH are one of the reasons we own cars like the Audi. Why give that up.

Secondly, I contend that they are ill thought-out (at least the ones sold by Blau). The sleeves were made of steel, and in the rust belt at least, once those sleeves begin to rust, the whole assembly starts to squeek. And I mean squeek! I thought that you could possibly make you own sleeves out of stainless, but why would you want to pay Blau for that priviledge?

The delrin bushing are great for a track-prepared car, even mandatory, I'd say. But them being marketed as good alternatives to the factory rubber set-up is pure hogwash, in my opinion.
