Type-44 Questions...oil temperature gauge.

No matter the temp in stop and go traffic, the gauge will hover on the 60C 
mark on my '89 200.  Anything above 70F outside will make it rise half way 
between 60C and 130C at highway speeds.  Last year in 109F heat (Palm 
Springs, CA) going up a slight incline, A/C on, 75MPH the gauge was just a 
tick away from the 130C mark.  I have been using 10-40W oil however 
tomorrow I'm switching to 20-50W in preparation for the summer.

I've wondered the exact thing myself....  I know the oil cooler comes into 
play around 100C, which should be about half way between 60 and 130C....
