clutch to floor

In our last episode, tucker smith was having clutch trouble:

Of course we do. On my '89 200 TQ, it was the clutch pedal
itself. There is a little tab at the top that pushes on the
actuating rod. If it breaks (a rare occurrence), the pedal
will spring to the floor. You can pry it up with a toe, in
which case it springs back to normal. Of course, this does
nothing to the clutch itself.
There may be another, more major problem, but if you get
lucky, a new clutch pedal is a "cheap" clutch fix.
