Just bought a beater '86 5000 CS Turbo Quattro in running condition
hoping to bring it back to decent status in time to become the winter
daily driver. Well... I have an unexpected job offer in Florida that
looks pretty good and now I don't need the car and don't have time to
work on it before the move.

The car has unknown mileage, but is about 200,000 as best I can tell. A
previous owner in PA replaced the speedometer in 1996 with 163,000 miles
on it. That's the last official reading I can vouch for.

The car ran fine for about three weeks, then something in the radiator
cracked. I caught it right away and parked it. I cannot vouch for the
condition of the head, but I don't think it overheated in that time.

I have a brand new all-metal radiator from CSF as well as upper and
lower hoses, thermostat, and clamps from the dealer. About $250 in
parts. I have not installed them yet, but I will if it'll help sell the
car. I will not separate these new parts - it's a package deal.

The interior is decent with only the driver's seat having major tears
and rips on the seat cushion. The electric seats work as do the sunroof,
windows, radio, and computer.

The A/C is inop.

The ABS is inop.

The body looks straight and shows no rust. The paint on the roof is
faded, cracked and peeling.

The tires are some cheap Wall Mart brand, but they are almost brand new.

The car passed the Maryland inspection with the exception of rear brake
pad thickness and a BB sized crack in the windshield.

I'm asking $750 for everything... as is, radiator replaced and the car
running, or as a parts car that you haul away with the radiator and
other parts. I'm in Laurel, MD.. e-mail me at this account if you'd like
to look at the car.
