4Kq performance options

I was under the impression that the only way to spice up a 4kq was to put a
5k turbo engine in it. Are there other options? I am normally a vw bus
driver and this idea of hauling ass is quite exciting. I just got the 4kq on
the road last night and did laps around a local industrial park, this car
really corners, but needs more juice.
