Sounds like the frame is not straight - like that right side motor mount
may be sitting low, pulling the front of the engine tranny assembly
down... and rasing the rear of it.  This is just theory, mind you, but
that snubber to stop bracket alignment sounds suspicious, usually the
bracket hits when it is maybe 3/4 of the way down.

You may also want to check to see if the center bearing mount has become
loosened due to accident and repair stresses.
