What I did was open the fittings in the MC while at 15 psi, and let some
fluid running.You might be right regarding the angle, and with the longer
MC, this angle is even worst.

My replacement M/C came with 2 plstice fittings in the Holes that I used to
fill/draw fluid into before I pressure bled the system. While I like the
your bleeder, I own the same one, I still physically pump the pedal once or
twice(clutch or Brake) when doing the change just to make sure the pistons
move and the units are full. With brand new internal seals it helps insure
that the units are really full.
