Strange brake behavior?

Forgot to add something...I am not getting the brake warning light. I know
the warning light works because it used to stay on before I changed the
bomb and even now if I don't close the pentosin reservoir correctly. Now
it makes me wonder because people say if bomb is toast, pedal travel is
short. Is this how it's used to be then? But how come only after highway
drive? And how come it only happens now, a year after the bomb
replacement?
Thanks.
