In case any of you want to do a little wasteful spending, Steve D.
at Ultimate Garage has a beautiful machined stainless steel "wheel
hanger" that has a knurled, slotted end and is machined for Audi
threads- I forget the exact spec.

It's $24.95, but I think recently he was selling some for $14.95.
DOH!

Anyway, it's a really nice piece, even though it's got probably something
like a 10,000% markup.

My 200q does not have the plastic version, and the one that is in our
A4 is a rather flimsy piece. At least the stainless steel version will
not break, except in extreme circumstances.
