Listers,
I know some of you were there, I imagine, from seeing everything
from a nice '95.5 S6 Avant in the paddock, along with a 100CSq
w/ Mille Miglia MM-11s, a white CGT with quad lamps and seeing at
least one UrS4 in the infield parking lot, along with a few TTrs,
a nice black S4tt with Fikse/BBS/Kinesis polished rims, a poser
red A4 outfitted with S4 badges and some others.

Being a huge Porsche fan, I was in heaven. To see all of those cars
in one spot was incredible, including the Tom Donohue 917/30 with
that massive flat 12, an immaculate white 959 Sport with something
like 856 miles on the clock, an immaculate '73 911RS in concours
condition, a 911GT1 street version, etc.

Seeing 917Ks run in anger was incredible, as were the braking and
cornering speeds of the 962s coming down the front straight into turn
1. It looked like the cars were about to hop airborne as it must be
a little bumpy near the end of the straight. A real shame to see the
914/6 piloted by Paul Newman crash with some damage to the right front
corner, nothing terminal, I hope.

Anyone on the list in a pearl white 200q that flashed me on the way
out on Saturday afternoon? I was in the black 200q, waved, didn't know
if you saw me. Was that you, Chris?

I got somewhere in the neighborhood of 95 photos, I'm kicking myself
for not taking photos of the parking lot when I came in, as there
was a '94 965 Turbo S flatnose (one of 20), a couple 993 Turbo Ses,
a 300SL roadster, two 427 Cobras, a '68 Shelby Mustang and some other
really nice non-Audis as well, including two fully-modified yellow
Subaru WRXes with Prodrive triple-element lamps, STi foglamp covers
and some other choice bits, making the WRX a much nicer looking car.
