Turbo JT

Hi Mike,
I am in the process of building a coupe quattro turbo for rally/hillclimb
with a friend of mine and we have been trying to figure out the best way to
turbo the car. I would be very interested in finding out how you did your jt
turbo conversion, specifically what parts you used.

We really do not want to go the route of a MC transplant, that can be a real
PITA, my friend has BTDT several times and does not want to do it with this
car. So any alternatives are welcome.

One of my partner in crime ideas is to turbo a eurovan 2.5 engine and stuff
it in the engine bay, but I feel that would be even more of a hassle than
doing an MC 1 swap, even if he does have a 2.5 sitting on the floor of his
shop.... But we also have 2 jt motors to play with.

I feel a low boost turbo on the JT will give us good high end power without
sacrificing low end torque. Plus if I like the way it works in the rally
car, I will probably turbo my 4kq :-)

Thanks in advance,
Tom Belrose

5. do what i did, bolt on a turbo onto your existing JT engine. It works
beautifully and I can describe everything for you if you'd like. IT DOES
WORK. I
can prove it with simple specs from the factory engines vs. the JT engine if
you
are concerned, plus I've BTDT and it does work.
That last option is cheapest and gives you a great kick in the ass :)

Mike
