Ben's 4KQ questions - flasher & AC

I keep telling myself not to overlook the obvious - check the fuse.

After checking the wiring, relay, and switch, then poring over the Bently
where I noted the flasher circuit and hazards were on different fuses, I
pulled the cover to check the number 2 fuse. It was blown!

Wouldn't you know that it also feeds the AC controller.

So both Hazards and AC problem were fixed by simply replacing the fuse.

Note to self and others - Don't overlook the obvious!

4kq alpine - just not worth making roadworthy - new parts car - hope this
one doesn't get smashed by a tree like the last one.
5kcstqw - all's well, mostly.

quickie and probably correct diagnosis - bad hazard switch. second
possibility, which is unlikely as I understand the circuit is a wire is
not working right. No, it couldn't be that. It's the switch.

use the Bentley to check it - see what should be connected inside it in
each position and measure resistances. It might succumb to a good
cleaning, of course.

I am repairing electrical problems on an 1991 100q. Had to replace both
switch assembles on the steering column. After replacing I cannot get the
turn signals to work properly. When the ignition switch is in the off
position:
- emergencies flash
- Air conditioner solenoid turns on and off with flasher - HMMMMMM
- When wipers are in any position they also turn on and off with the flasher
When the ignition switch is in the on position:
- The correct turn signal operates continuously( does not flash)
- emergencies are also on contin.
- head lamps work fine thank God

Any suggestions
