radar detectors

The k40 was tested some years ago and I have not seen a review in at least
5. I find that it is at least as sensitive across the band width as the V1
form convoy driving but without controlled conditions, any testing claims
are full of spurious conditions.

The beauty of it is that its always on so it can save you from that school
area that you thought you had exited; or from the cop that decides your over
taking maneuver has set you up neither of which exceeded the speed limit by
more than 5 or 10, but the cost can be considerable.

I do not intend to speed. However on some trunk road posted at 55, the
traffic is moving at 70 plus sometimes and I believe I am quite safe at or
around this speed. Until they post a trap. I am talking about roads that
are literally a mile or 2 from my house which for part of the day are
commuter routes and are jammed. A V1 left at home or in the glove box is
worse than useless in those conditions BTDT and got the pink ticket.

Is the K40 really that good? my 87 5KTQ came with one installed in the glove
box, had a nice switch with an led on the dash to turn it on. was also was
wired into the O2 sensor light to flash when it detected radar. very nice
install and totally stealth unlike the setup that Valentine has.
I know these are big money items but I have never seen an actual test of
them except from that web site that was mentioned the other day. I never
really used it and ended up taking it out in favor of my Bel unit which at
the time was rated a close second to the V1.

Experience has shown that Valentine is bets removable with Escort 980 close
behind, but the best of the best is K40, always hidden, always on and
undetectable.

All are expensive, but then so is your license and time.
