You're confusing the ur-Quattro with the Sport Quattro.

The "shorty" Sport Quattro has 302hp stock in street form, but in rally
or Pikes Peak racing forms (the "S1") has anything from ~500hp to 700hp+.
That's all with the early 20V turbo that only came on the Sport Quattro
circa 1984.
