Odd Coolant Light, 91 200

Quats,

    Last night on my way home from work the 200's Autocheck gave me a low
coolant/engine overheating light. Or at least that's what the owner's manual
calls it. Anyway, engine temp. guage reported normal temperatures and the
coolant resevoir checked barely low and was topped off. This did not shut
off the autocheck light. I'm guessing I've got a fried resevoir sensor, but
does anybody have any other thoughts? I'd appreciate it before I waste money
on something that's fine.(Oh, if it isn't clear enough the car in question
is a 1991 200 turbo automatic FWD)
