90 20V Quattro Questions

Ditto that, but with one stipulation, only if you are
going to run high boost.  I got into it with a 90q 20v
one day down the interstate and he kept up with me. 
This was when I was running 8psi.  We pulled over to
shoot the shit at a gas station and he had a k&N and
exhaust on his car.  So I'd say the engines were about
in the same power range at the time.  Now that I'm
upwards of 15psi, there is no way in hell any NA 20v
will keep up.  If you are considering this sell your
car and buy one that does not have the 20v engine. 
I'll bet you could cover the cost of the conversion
especially if you find one with a blown engine, you
could probably get it for next to nothing.
