Eibach installation

Just got my S6 avant back from the shop...boy does it need an alignment now
:)
My mechanic swapped in a set of Eibach 1529.140s, and along with the
Bilstein Sports, the car now handles pretty durn well. I couldn't really
test it, as the alignment is a bit out of spec...but that will get remedied
tomorrow.
I ended up with a set of Eibachs...I had given up on finding them, and had
actually ordered, and received, a set of H&Rs. But then I found a dealer
with some new old stock, and the H&Rs went back.
The ride isn't significantly more harsh than before...and it certainly does
sway a *lot* less. I *could* have gone for a bit more...but I'm pretty happy
with how it turned out. We'll see at the next autocross <grin>.
And my mechanic found a blown fuse for the coolant afterrun pump. Said when
it first started up for him, it sounded like it hadn't run in a long time.
Ouch. I had noticed that it had never run for me, and had him look into it.
I'm not sure I want to know how long it has been on the fritz.
Coupla other things - I found and downloaded a reasonably current version of
the Family Album. Oh my god, I'm in heaven. Thanks Marc, I pulled it off
your machine (did a search on the filename and the reference appeared in
your log file report!) :)
Oh, and by the way, my clear front corners showed up today. Good day to be
an Audi at my house. :)
