The car has probably been rebuilt onto another chassis.  There is a stretch 
Jag  XJ12 here in Seattle, and the driver told me that it had been built onto 
a Chrysler(I 
think) frame.  While not cheap, look at the lengths some people will go to 
achieve utter tackiness...
