I think you're confusing the V8L vs. the A8L.  The V8L looks like what
you describe (except not really, because the V8L has the regular V8's
doors, with a really big rear "quarter" window).  However, the A8L is
quite subtle.  It has an elongated rear door, but unless you know, it's
hard to tell apart from a regular A8 (except that that you'd say "Wow,
it's a big car" when you stand next to one).
