additional help identifying NG-NF

that would make it an NF if it is the 2.3

The only dead giveaway I know of (I'm sure there are more though) is
that the 2.3 distributor clamp has a piece of metal riveted over the nut
so the timing can't be tampered with.

If you feel like dropping the oil pan, look for the piston oil squirters
too.
