83 CGT tranny removal ?

OK, I have the entire tranny unbolted, along with the speedo cable and 
electrical connections.  In other words its ready to fall on the floor 
except the tie rod assembly is holding it up there (it won't let the tranny 
slide back enough to clear the input shaft.)

How much of the tie rod assembly do I need to unbolt in order for the 
tranny to clear.

Another question:  When I unbolted the tranny mount a bunch of clear brown 
tinted liquid came out.  I assume I need a new tranny mount as this was the 
silicone fluid running out?
