Turbo Project, Fueling

I have discovered some interesting things about my fuel system over the
past day. For one it has a much larger DPR current range. Typically the
CIS-E systems run to a rich limit of 10mA, my system is self adaptive and
will run to 23mA to richen the mixture under any situation that requires it.
One message on a VW message board said the 16v engine with the CIS-Motronic
fuel system can hit 10psi without problems.

I moved the WOT switch out of the way so it wouldn't actuate under full
throttle. I then attempted 2 full throttle charges in 2nd through 3rd,
staying below 5.5k rpm in each gear. I hit 6.5psi and there was plenty of
fuel to spare according to my gauge and my ass. With WOT enabled the car
bogged, a/f gauge read full lean, and I would go no where; without the WOT
switch the engine revs freely, no retard or slugging, and the gauge reads
two bars above stoich. I have dumped the codes and got a rich idle mixture
code, but I fixed that.

Once I get everything settled I am going to slowly turn up the boost and
see what can be done. Those two full throttle runs felt like I was driving
my mum's 200q20v, no joke. The car really moved from 30 to 70mph very
quickly, felt neat in my little 80.

Yeeeehaaa!
