coupe gt turbo problems

Just finishing my turbo conversion and have a few small problems to iron
out.  First let me say the it is worth all of the time money and effort, it
is a completly different car.  The tach only works to about 2000 RPM's and
then drops to 0.  I ran the purple and black wire from the ECU directly to
the tach.  Any ideas on how I should run it.
