Engine Stalling on Stop

I've checked the archive for this problem, but haven't found unanimity on
what the solution is.  Maybe you can help.

I've got a 4kcsq.  Lately, when I slow and downshift, the engine cuts
out.  If I slow down without and shift into neutral without depressing
the clutch, I'm still running.  This is handy if I'm parking, but a pain
when I try to turn into my driveway off the highway. 

Here's some recent work that's been done:

New exhaust system w/ cat, new clutch pedal.

Any ideas?
