Hissing from the gearbox

NB:  Is the hiss louder in cold climate ?  I have the same problem, and the hiss is quite loud in winter, to the point of becoming a distraction, and barely audible in summer.  I worry that this may be a serious problem and so, thanks for asking the question.  I am sure our experts will offer a solution.

  The car is an '865KTQ, when it is in neutral there is no sound, when it is in gear there is a constant hissing coming from the gearbox. when wiggle the gear selector the sound alters a bit, what can cause this, is it as easy as replacing some bushings to fix it?

  problem #2 Sometimes there is a squealing that is coming from the engine, almost like it is screaming. It almost sounds like a slipping belt but I know that all the belts are fine and noise free, where is this sound coming from?
