Is it the original clutch/throwout bearing? If it is, and since the sound alters when you wiggle the shifter, it may be the shifter bushings but I'm leaning towards the throwout bearing on its way out.
problem #2 Sometimes there is a squealing that is coming from the engine, almost like it is screaming. It almost sounds like a slipping belt but I know that all the belts are fine and noise free, where is this sound coming from?
Rear main seals are known to whistle when they are worn.
