quattro anniversary summary

So, I read through most of the posts about celebrating the 10th anniversary.

Ideas included:
-tshirt
-mug
-keychain
-poster

etc.

Many of these are pretty simple in design, and so we wouldn't have to 
do "just one."


I liked the suggestion about a poster; I think a top qualifier would 
be our own version of the "20 years of quattro" poster.  I'd suggest 
"10 years of quattro", but so many listers have 1980's cars :-)

I also really like the idea of using lister faces.  Each lister could 
turn in a 300x300 jpeg headshot, and that could be integrated into 
the poster(maybe as a background, or top half cars, bottom half 
people, ie, "the cars...the people"), or a separate poster.  We might 
even be able to run a script to grab old email addresses out of the 
archives, and invite ex-listers to participate.  We'd probably 
generate a TON of bounces, but I think it would be worth the effort.

I'm willing to spearhead this effort, but I think a small group of 
listers would be better for design review etc; asking the entire list 
to participate on too low a level would be complete chaos.  I would 
invite anyone who is interested in helping out(especially, but not 
limited to,those with a graphic/publishing/artistic background) to 
drop me a line, maybe we can set up a sublist for it...

That said, I'd like to set up a gathering in the NY area; Friday's a 
little too close by now, but it -might- be possible...I'll check with 
Dan in the morning, see what he thinks...
