not insane
pull junk off top of cam cover. remove cam cover. move PS pump out of
the way of the front timing belt cover. mark timing belt if you can and
its pulley, slide it off cam pulley (this job would combine vey well
with a WP/TB change!) undo cam shells, keep very carefully in the same
order and direction. remove camshaft. remove lifters, put in new
lifters (they just sit in pace). Reassembly is... the reverse of
disassembly. use new cam cover gasket and cam seal.
I'm convinced this would work, anyone chime in with what i forgot!

douse them in build lube probably. crank engine with no "fire" til they
fill up, too.
