Pads & Rotor query

Does anyone have experience with the German pads (443 698 151J) and vented front brake discs (443 615 301B) from TPC?  The German pads cost only $7 more than the PBR Metal Master and, I am told, are easier on the rotors.  TPC seems to have a better deal than Blau on price and quality (which is why I'm asking for feedback on quality :).  

Any advice would be appreciated, but cost is an issue.  (Although if a little more money now will save a lot later...)
