I hope someone else can help with the idle issue, as I'm no help there.
The windows however I have dealt with.
You should be able to pop the switch up out of the door, and check the leads
for power. If you have power there, either the switch is bad or the motor is
gone.
If there is no power at the switch, then the problem lies in the wiring loom
as it passes through the driver door jam/hinge. Even though it's the
passenger windows, the problem is usually the driver door jam. This wiring
flex point is a real weak point for these cars.
The upright portion of the grab handle has a cover that pops off using a
small screwdriver. There are some large screws under it that will need to
come off. If memory serves, the triangular trim piece at the leading top
corner needs removing as well. There are a series of snap/push-in fasteners
across the bottom, and up both edges. The latch release has a mounting screw
under it as well. Finally there are 2 small screws on the top of each end (I
always forget these).
After doing this a few times it isn't that hard, but the first time is a bit
of pita.
My money is on the driver door jam flex point. To access and repair this
you'll need to remove the footwell cover as well. If this is the problem,
don't merely splice the wires. Put in a new piece from under the dash to
inside the door. Otherwise the wire will simply break again at the splice.
