hi konstantin,
the same thing happens to mine, the speedometer jumps plus-minus 10 mph,
this is an old VW/audi thing where the 'bushing' that holds the
spedometer
cable in place goes bad on the back of the dash, replacing this fixes
the
problem of it jumping. i haven't had the time to do this, but will
sometime,
i hear it is quite a regular problems of vw's. one of my friends has a
85 vw
golf and a 85 5000S, and both of those cars have had the problem and he
said
the 'bushing' $5-10 at the dealership, and about 2-3 hrs of replacement
time.
as to what you should do while you're in there, one of my other
friends
has this nissan maxima, he replaced the needles to each meter with LED
needles which look awesome in my opinion, he said it was $20 for 2 big
needles and 4 little ones. i'll try to get what company/store he got
them
from...
