83 5kt fan resistor

I found that my fan resistor had corroded and fell apart.  Does anyone have
a part number for this resistor?  I could not find any number on it, nor
could I find a number in my Bentley or Haynes manual.  It is the resistor
that is mounted on the edge of the engine compartment wall, on the driver's
side (left hand drive), just underneath the plastic reservoir for the
radiator.  It is about one inch in diameter and about three inches long.
