Stabilant has been rumored to destabilize gold platings...use with
caution, and steer way clear of anything critical like airbag contact
rings.
Caig's products are far cheaper and yield better results, IMHO.
-CaiKleen spray for degreasing/washing off contaminants(CaiKleen RBR works
great on copiers, printer paper tray pickup rollers, etc; used this on a
robotic tape library with a dozen rollers for moving cartridges, it was
FANTASTIC)
-DeOxit for removing oxidation, lubrication, and preserving
-ProGold, light oxidation removal, lubrication, preserving(designed for
gold but works on others)
-PreserveIT, for new contacts or after DeOxit. Protective/lube only.
-CaiLube Mcl, for volume/fader sliders, carbon and plastic, as well as
laptop touchpads
ProGold and PreserveIT are great for difficult PC connectors, since they
lube things a little...DeOxit is great around the house for A/C plugs on
high-draw equipment like air conditioners, driers, etc. DeOxit is also
great for freshening up ignition system connectors, ground points on the
engine, radiator fan connections...
(in case anyone is wondering, no, I haven't tried caig stuff on airbag
rings either, I'm steering clear of those kinds of things)
