this possibly "buffered" redaing is exactly why i worry, that my vdo is 
picking up on something that the digital gauge isnt registering at all. what 
is the failability of a mech. boost gauge? do they break easy/often? i would 
nt have thought so..

at any rate, i dont think (want to believe) the car has a problem, it 
"seems" fine. i suspect the boost gauge. could knock sensors retarding the 
timing possibly cause this real or percieved overboost condition?
