Audi ball joints

Hi audi fans.

I have been trying to track down ball joints for 1989
Audi 90 Q all week without success. My rear ball
joints are shot. So I ordered a set from Mega-parts?
and they sent me the wrong parts (after I having given
them my VN#).  It is my understanding that there was a
part change in 1988/89?. Anyway, my Audi has the same
designed ball joints front and back. The ball joint
design on my car has a 3-4 inch stem protruding from
the bottom of the ball joint that fits into the lower
A-arm and is bolted it here. The older type of ball
joint have a wing design on either side of the ball
with a hole in it to be bolted to something??. I hope
this is making sense.  Any help will be appreciated. 
Thanks in advance.  I have tried the parts connection
and a couple of others.  They all say that they do not
carry them, but they carry the fronts.  I am sure that
on my car the fronts are the same as the rear.  I am
wrong??
