Fender rolling on the Big Red Bus

There are two ways and only one will work if the rolling is to be more than
a hair width. The type 44's are double walled steel in the rear quarter
(probably more places but . . .). What does this mean? A ton of work for
very little movement as the inner wall will keep sucking the outer back in.
Cure? Take a die cutter and put a deep score on the inside of the fender in
the shape of a half moon. How big will depend on the amount of flare that
you want. This will allow you to use the wooden baseball bat method (use
the handle as it is smaller). Once you are able to pop the inner wall the
outer is very easy to move. Once done, fill the space between the cut metal
with silicone and paint to prevent rust.
Used this method to fit 225/50/16's on 35mm Hock R's to an 89 200tqw. No
paint was lost and no cracks have appeared after 2-3 years.
