letting car sit for a month...

Hi Jim,
I routinely leave the country on research cruises and my '87 5KCSQ has
sat for as long as 6 months(once), 2-3 months numerous times with no
damage. I have had the battery go flat on it after the simian lads
replaced the heater core, but that may have been caused by the burned
out license plate bulb(if one of these bulbs burns out on a 5K all
sorts of weird electrical gremlins occur). The time it sat six months
the battery fired it right up; there was a bit of mechanical noise for
a few seconds, but that was over 50K miles ago...no damage done. I do
use Amsoil synth...for what it's worth.
